This Echo Tech position is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, a city known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. As a part of the job, you will be working in a facility that has been recognized as the best hospital in Virginia. This role allows you to advance your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The typical day for an Echo Tech involves performing a variety of echocardiographic procedures to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities. Responsibilities include conducting 2D and Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms. You will also be responsible for writing preliminary reports based on your findings.

The position includes a 13-week contract with five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours. The role requires working scheduled weekend shifts and being on call every third week. On-call shifts last from 4 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM on weekdays and from 3 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM on weekends, with call-ins being rare. You will have Fridays off before a weekend shift and the following Monday off afterward.

The facility provides free parking and has a dress code of royal blue scrubs.

Sonographer, Echo

Experience : 2 years

Scrub Colors : Royal blue

SSN Required

DOB Required

Registered Echo Tech needed credential.

Must be able to perform 2 dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease & blood flow abnormalities

Must have at least 1 year travel experience

Equipment : Phillips IE33 and EPIC experience needed

Shifts are 0700-1530 and 0800-1630 for weekdays; weekend shift 0700-1530 every 3rd or 4th weekend

Call requirement is every third week for 7 days (Monday to Sunday) from 1630 to 0700 next morning (with very rare call in)
