Position Highlights
Full-time night shift, 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours)Rotating weekends and holidaysNo call requirementAdult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) required2+ years of Critical Care ICU experience as an RN, NP, or PA requiredCardiology and Heart Failure population experience preferredTraining provided on mechanical support devicesPatient Population Includes

Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with complex cardiac conditionsDeliver evidence-based clinical decisions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care teamManage patient care throughout the disease process in alignment with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital Standards of CareParticipate in continuous learning and professional development initiativesRequired Qualifications
Current Texas RN and APRN licensureAdult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certificationNational certification from ANCC, NCC, AANP, or AACNCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsMinimum two (2) years of critical care nursing experience (RN or NP) in Cardiology, Cardiac Care, or Cardiovascular NursingPreferred Qualifications
Experience with Heart Failure or Cardiovascular ICU patientsAcute Care Nurse Practitioner experienceBackground in managing advanced cardiac support devices
