Key Responsibilities :Provideend-to-end systems engineering supportto the Navy Modernization (NM) Program and associated IT systems.Lead thedesign, development, and integrationof software, hardware, and data systems that support Navy configuration management and modernization objectives.Create and maintainSystem Security Engineering Plans (SEPs)System Security Plans, and related technical documentation perDoD and NISTstandards.Coordinate and conductSystems Security Engineering (SSE)activities, integrating cybersecurity requirements throughout system design and sustainment.ApplyAgileandDevSecOpspractices to streamline development, testing, and delivery of secure IT solutions.Manage and tracksystem milestones, risks, and deliverablesin alignment withEVMstandards.Participate intechnical reviews, configuration audits, and decision boards, ensuring compliance with modernization policy and governance frameworks.Providetechnical troubleshooting, system validation, and process optimizationfor IT systems supporting the Navy Data Environment (NDE).Lead and mentor engineering staff in applying best practices insystems integration, data management, and cybersecurityCollaborate withprogram managers, fleet users, and IT stakeholdersto ensure modernization efforts meet mission, schedule, and security objectives.Contribute to updates of modernization manuals, process documentation, and training materials, including theNavy Modernization Process Management and Operation Manual (NMP-MOM)Supportknowledge management, user training, and technical communication efforts related to system upgrades and new feature deployments.Conduct system performance assessments, develop improvement recommendations, and prepare executive-level reports on modernization system health and performance.Qualifications :Required :Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.Active or eligible forConfidential Security ClearanceCybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+, CEH, or equivalent).15+ years of Systems Engineering experience.Demonstrated experience inSSESEP development, andDoD acquisition processesStrong understanding ofAgile / DevOps / DevSecOpsenvironments.Experience managing technical milestones and deliverables underEVMApplied knowledge ofNIST SP 800-37Preferred :Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or Cybersecurity.CISSPorPMI-ACPcertifications.15+ years ofDoD / Navy Systems Engineeringexperience.Familiarity withDoD 5000-seriesandNavy modernizationprocesses.Job Type : Full-time
