Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational setting in Mooresville, NC, is seeking qualified professionals skilled in teaching students who are visually impaired. This is a full academic year contract position, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on student development and learning.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize adaptive technologies and instructional strategies to enhance student learning
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary
• Encourage independence and build confidence in students through targeted teaching methods
