Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the implementation and operation of secure, scalable, and compliant Software Factory environments for the U.S.

Coast Guard (USCG).

This role involves leading the design and deployment of secure CI / CD pipelines, integrating with Platform One, and ensuring continuous compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead implementation of continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) processes and automated security control validation.

Design and implement Software Factory platform architecture and secure CI / CD pipelines.

Establish and maintain DevSecOps reference architectures for USCG Software Factories.

Integrate environments with Platform One and Iron Bank hardened containers.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates with embedded security controls.

Implement continuous monitoring solutions for RMF compliance.

Architect containerized application platforms with zero-trust security models for multi-tenant use.

Create automated security testing frameworks (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) integrated into pipelines.

Establish Certificate to Field (CtF) processes for rapid, secure deployments.

Provide technical leadership on DevSecOps best practices and Software Factory adoption.

Collaborate with Authorizing Officials (AOs), Security Control Assessors (SCAs), and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to streamline authorization.

Develop security metrics dashboards and continuous compliance reporting.

Mentor users and junior team members on secure development and DevSecOps practices.

Document architectures, onboarding guides, and standard operating procedures.

Skills Required :

Must have active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).

Minimum 8 years of DevSecOps experience in secure software delivery and automation.

Must have CompTIA Security+ or higher certification.

Hands-on experience with :

GitLab CI / CD, Kubernetes, Python AWS GovCloud, Platform One (Iron Bank preferred) Grafana, Flux / ArgoCD GitOps Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 and federal compliance frameworks.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Familiarity with security tools :

SonarQube, Fortify, Twistlock / Prisma Cloud, Jenkins.

Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and DoD DevSecOps Reference Design.

Prior work with USCG Software Factories, RMF, eMASS, and ACAS.
