NP Hematology Oncology opening in Washington Located in Coupeville, WA - Seattle 55mEmployment Type : Full-TimePermanent position Principal Functions : - The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients who have a diagnosis of cancer or a hematologic disorder in the outpatient setting, in collaboration with medical oncologists in the practice - Maintains efficient clinic workflow - Assesses client for education needs - Provides education regarding : health promotion, symptom management including disease process., chemotherapy regimens, medications, prevention and recognition of complications and self-care - Functions within limit and scope of Nurse Practice Act - Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patients' medical, physical, and psychosocial status. - Identify medical and health risks and needs as it relates to the patient. - Formulate the appropriate differential diagnosis based on the history, physical examination, and clinical findings. - Order appropriate diagnostic tests. - Prescribe pharmacologic agents. - Interpret appropriate diagnostic tests. - Provide patients, family, and caregiver education. - Collaborate with and make appropriate referrals to other health care professionals. - Formulate and implement treatment plans. Comp / Benefits : - Salary Range : $135,000 - $155,000 (annualized and with potential sign-on bonus) Qualifications : - Active WA State NP License required. - Current BLS certification required. - Active unrestricted DEA license required. - Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification preferred. - One (1) year experience as an NP preferred. - Experience working with oncology / hematology patients preferred.
