Overview of Position : Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks.

Qualifications : A high school diploma or equivalent is required; An associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field preferred. Related maintenance experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to present a 10 year driving record upon hire.

Knowledge / Skills : General maintenance knowledge in one or more fields. (e.g. carpentry; electrical, plumping, etc.) Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Essential Job Functions :

• Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.)
• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brushes, sprayers, or rollers to apply paints, stains, and varnishes; hanging doors fitting locks and handles, etc.)
• Respond to Help Desk Tickets and request from Practice Administrators in a timely matter
• Must be able to work flexible hours; some weekends and evenings maybe required
• Responsible for moving furniture and medical equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements : Hearing : Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking : Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision : Visual acuity adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other : Requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 100 pounds for other required work activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
