Clinical Shift Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 PM 7 : 00 AM (Night Shift)

Patient Demographics : Adults (ICU patients)

Patient Volume / Census : Varies; busy unit (36 bed ICU)

Admissions : Yes (accept consults from ED and Hospitalist team)

Rounding : Included

Phone Consults : Yes (calls from ED and Hospitalist team)

Case Mix : Critical Care and Pulmonology

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department : 36 bed ICU

Office Equipment Available : Standard ICU equipment

Support Staff Available : No (sole provider at night)

Reason for Coverage : Short-term supplemental coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Credentialing Timeline : Minimum 30 days required

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Manage and care for ICU patients

Perform urgent procedures as needed in the ICU

Accept consults and provide critical care interventions overnight

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active FL license required

Certifications : Board Certified

Experience : Case logs required (Primary Source, showing past 12 months)

Other Qualifications : Clean background and NPDB within 6 months

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide overnight coverage as the sole intensivist at Cape Coral Hospital

Manage ICU patients and perform urgent procedures as necessary

Accept and manage consults from the ED and Hospitalist teams

Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Ensure high-quality patient care during night shifts

Follow all Lee Health privilege criteria and credentialing guidelines
