Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN) – Federal Detention Center SeaTac, WA

Pay : $31.04–$36.13 per hour

Location : 2425 South 200th Street, SeaTac, WA 98198

Start Date : Projected December 15, 2025

Summary

The Federal Detention Center in SeaTac, WA seeks a Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse to provide on-site medical services for inmates. Position is part of a Blanket Purchase Agreement under an FSS contract.

Schedule

  • Up to 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour shifts, with possible 12-hour rotations
  • May include weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • No more than 240 workdays in a 24-month period
  • Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing
  • Current, unrestricted LPN / LVN license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 6 months of recent experience
  • Two professional references required
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Prior correctional healthcare experience preferred
  • Duties

  • Provide direct patient care within scope of practice
  • Administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications
  • Assist with medication distribution and chronic care management
  • Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and other diagnostic testing
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records
  • Support mid-level providers and physicians
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures
  • Respond to medical emergencies as required
