Job Title : Septic Truck Operator

Classification : Hourly (non-exempt)

Reports To : General Manager

Date of Revision : February 2025

Supervisory Responsibilities : None

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Assist lead technician with septic system maintenance, repair, and cleaning
• Operate and drive septic truck under supervision
• Learn the trade under the guidance of an experienced septic technician
• Perform manual labor including digging and repairing septic tanks
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of truck and equipment

Required Education and Experience :

Additional Eligibility Qualifications : We are a drug-free workplace. Applicants MUST have a clean drug screen, background check and MVR.

Compensation : $24 - $26 per hour

Physical Activity : Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, and hearing.

Physical Requirements : Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity Requirements : Employees in this position are required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as : operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.

Due to the nature of the industry and this position, daily local travel is required.

Overnight travel is not to be expected.
