Seven Healthcare is offering a full-time, permanent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team in Abilene, Texas . This position is ideal for nurses who are focused on providing high-quality recovery care for patients emerging from anesthesia following surgical procedures offering $35,000 to $75,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

As a PACU RN, you will :

  • Provide post-operative nursing care for patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia
  • Monitor vital signs and level of consciousness during the immediate post-op period
  • Manage pain and post-anesthesia symptoms in accordance with physician orders
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and recovery staff to ensure safe transitions
  • Educate patients and families about post-op care and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Qualifications

  • Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in PACU, critical care, or surgical nursing preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, recovery care environment
