The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children who are deaf and hard of hearing, and families who have chosen a listening and spoken language communication outcome for their child. Education and Requirements :Master's DegreeASHA Certificate of Clinical CompetenceCurrent Texas license as a Speech-Language PathologistTwo years of experience with children ages 0-3 a plusBilingual (English / Spanish) Fluency a plusDuties and Responsibilities :Assess, counsel and treat children with hearing lossGuide and coach parents through principles and strategies necessary to teach a child listening and spoken languageCollaborate with child's team, including audiologists, physicians, teachers, early interventionistsParticipate in continuing education sufficient to maintain ASHA certification requirementsPresent at professional and community outreach / learning opportunitiesPractice in accordance with ASHA and Code of EthicsPractice philosophical agreement with and commitment to mission of All Ears! CenterEvaluate children with hearing loss to determine need for services using formal and informal assessment toolsAttend community events to promote the All Ears!
