Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group , in partnership with Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital (RWCH) , is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatologist to join our growing team in Alexandria, Louisiana.

This is more than just a job ? it's a chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a true work-life balance with a 7-on / 7-off schedule and 24 / 7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) coverage .

• 34-bed, Level III NICU - diverse acuity and case variety
• Collaborative 2 Neonatologist / 4 NNP model
• NNPs in-house 24 hours a day
• Home call for Neonatologists after rounds
• 1,500-2,000 deliveries annually
• Newborn nursery rounds
• NNP-led transport team (physician covers in-house during transports)

You'll be part of a collegial, evidence-based team focused on quality-driven protocols and continuous improvement in neonatal care.
