What You'll Do
Estate Planning
Draft and prepare estate planning documents : Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, and DeedsPrepare client asset summaries, flowcharts, and document bindersAssist attorneys during consultations and signing appointmentsCoordinate document execution, notarization, and deed recording across multiple countiesMaintain organized, up-to-date client files from intake through completionTrust Administration
Manage active trust administration files from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are metGather and organize asset information; track funding progress and account distributionsDraft correspondence to beneficiaries, financial institutions, and advisorsUse Excel and Quicken to maintain trust accounting spreadsheets, reconcile balances, and prepare financial summariesAssist attorneys with trustee reports, certifications, and closing documentsMaintain clear and proactive communication with clients throughout the processRequirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (estate planning or trust administration preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication; confident and professional with clientsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Quicken, and Outlook (WealthCounsel experience a plus)Comfort with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial recordkeepingBachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Paralegal Studies preferred)Benefits
