The Womenswear Designer is responsible for designing and managing the development of seasonal womenswear product specific to assigned categories, ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the design and development process.

Base pay range $70,700.00 / yr - $106,100.00 / yr

Responsibilities Design seasonal womenswear product by researching and interpreting market trends (competitors and non-competitors) appropriate to the TM brand

Manage design development of styles from concept to fit approval, including developing trims and applications for seasonal concepts

Experience in fitting garments and completing fit updates with cross-functional teams

Design special make-up unit (SMU) designs as needed

Develop tech packs (in Adobe Illustrator) for all designs, following handoff procedures to cross-functional teams

Update tech packs and CADs after fittings and according to calendar deadlines

Handle additional responsibilities outside of seasonal collections as assigned

Proficient in Microsoft applications; focus on Illustrator

Creative strength in color, prints and pattern

Hand drawing, sketching and / or painting skills a plus

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and calendars

Ability to learn and work on projects of any size; collaborate with other designers

Work cross-functionally with teams

Strong organization and attention to detail

Education and experience Technical trade school and / or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in apparel design
