SUMMARY : The Inside Sales Representative assists customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services. Processes quotations, assists with reporting, data base maintenance, sample requests, correspondence and fulfils customer needs to maintain high customer satisfaction.

  • Builds Customer relationships through consistent, positive interactions with active, inactive and potential Customers.
  • Responds to customer requests for information or lead requests in a timely manner with accurate, valid and complete information.
  • Understands product line and assists Customers with product selection.
  • Processes quote requests as needed.
  • Maintains accurate Customer databases and sales records.
  • Updates and maintains Quote Log and associated metrics, records and files.
  • Partners with Marketing and Sales team members to facilitate marketing campaigns, trade show needs and preparation.
  • Assists with scheduling and coordination of sales travel.
  • Processes commission and / or royalty payment records.
  • Tracks and schedules key dates for Customer Supply Agreements.
  • Acts as backup to Customer Service duties.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing department goals.
  • Exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area.
  • Assures safe practices are implemented and followed.
  • Adheres to Vandors values, principles, and policies as published in the Vandor Team Member Handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Demonstrates high personal integrity.
  • Works with the highest degree of accuracy and quality in all work performed.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to retain and recall product knowledge.
  • Strong phone contact skills and active listening.
  • Mathematical skills above average mathematical skills are needed.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work well both independently and as a team.
  • EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous Sales or Customer Service experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Must be able to lift and / or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to position self to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must have the ability to observe details at close range.
  • Compensation details : 47000-55000 Yearly Salary
