    Position Summary

    Erwin Health Care Center a compassionate and resident-focused long-term care community, is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records and Central Supply Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate medical records for residents and ensuring that all departments have the necessary medical and office supplies to support quality resident care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Medical Records :

    Maintain and organize resident medical charts in compliance with state and federal regulations.

    File, archive, and retrieve medical documents as needed.

    Ensure confidentiality of all resident information (HIPAA compliance).

    Assist with chart audits, physician orders, and transfer / discharge paperwork.

    Coordinate records with hospitals, clinics, and regulatory agencies when requested.

    Central Supply :

    Order, receive, and distribute medical and office supplies throughout the facility.

    Maintain accurate inventory records and track usage trends.

    Work with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective purchasing.

    Label and store supplies in compliance with infection control standards.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Prior experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting preferred.

    Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Proficiency with basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, EMR systems).

    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform light stocking duties.
