About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Structures Division, overseeing complex heavy civil and structural projects — including bridges, retaining walls, pump stations, foundations, and reinforced concrete work.

This senior-level position is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and delivery of multiple large-scale projects. The Senior Project Manager will provide direction across scheduling, cost management, subcontractor coordination, and client relations, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. • Manage all contract administration and documentation with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Oversee field operations through collaboration with on-site superintendents to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Serve as the primary company representative with owners, agencies, and consultants; attend and lead weekly progress meetings.

  • Control all financial aspects of each project, including job cost tracking, change orders, billings, and collections.

  • Maintain accurate budget forecasting, reporting, and projections.

  • Analyze and resolve project-related issues involving labor, material deliveries, scheduling, and contractual matters.

  • Support and review estimating, scheduling, and bid preparation as needed.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior project management and field staff.

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, quality control, and compliance requirements.

  • Identify risks, forecast impacts, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure timely and complete project closeout including final documentation and punch lists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 4-7 years experience, 10+ years of experience preferred, managing heavy civil and structural construction projects, including bridges, retaining walls, foundations, and reinforced concrete structures.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, CPM scheduling, cost control, and risk management.

  • Proven experience in change management, forecasting, and WIP analysis.

  • Familiarity with public contract code and government contract compliance.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and related project management software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods during project reviews or office tasks.

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 20 lbs occasionally.

  • Must be able to work safely in variable weather and field conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary $150,000 – $210,000, depending on experience.
