TeleSolv Consulting has a great opportunity for you to work with the Federal Government as an Accounting Clerk III.
This position is an on-site position in Keyport WA and required work hours will be from 7am to 3 : 30pm Mon thru Fri.
The Business and Administrative Support Services (BASS) team is a high visibility fast tempo group at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport and serves as the point of contact for a wide range of services. The team works directly with department heads, technical managers, business managers, and government staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle accounting, budget, payroll, and travel functions by receiving incoming data, verifying accuracy and reaching out to internal customers for corrections as necessary.
- Act on the incoming data by processing it within the appropriate system.
- Monitor data from receipt to final approval.
- Collect metric data to provide periodic status reports.
- Perform continuous training in the use of specialized Navy systems and policies / directives.
- Admin support of department specific IT systems and online tools ensuring data access, integrity, and recovery.
Required and Preferred Skills
Minimum Requirements :
Must currently be a U.S. CitizenActive Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one which can take approximately 3 monthsTwo (2) years of relevant accounting, financial, or bookkeeping experience.Relevant software experience with Microsoft Excel : data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, conditional formatting, chart & graph creation, simple formulas, pivot tables.Relevant experience with online collaboration tools including the ability to : post to and download from online collaboration tools (including SharePoint and Teams), enter data into lists, blogs, and team discussions, create and modify views of lists and document libraries.Preferred Requirements :
Software application skills to support this role include the following :MS Access : data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools.
MS Visio : ability to create process flows, diagrams, and org. charts, format and manipulate Visio diagrams, create swim lanes.
Experience with Navy ERP
