About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technician

License : Client License (or able to obtain prior to start)

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), VIR Certification (preferred)

Description :

Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning.

Consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.

Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently.

Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when dealing with customers.

Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patients' rights in all interfaces with patients.

Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologists during procedures.

Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment.

Reports malfunctions to management or lead.

Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner.

Uses time between procedures to assist others and with room turnover.

Understands the role in maintaining medication security to authorized personnel only.

Demonstrates competency in providing health care services to all age groups.

Exhibits competency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups.

Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS.

Participates in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted.

Demonstrates confidentiality using personal passwords in all patient care modules.

Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature while maintaining good phone etiquette.
