Overview

Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) at Polaris Inc. is designed to shape future leaders by offering recent graduates a comprehensive and immersive experience in operational excellence. The program focuses on developing expertise to lead plant operations and distribution centers to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals, streamline processes, enhance supply chain management, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Through targeted mentorship and impactful projects, participants drive innovation and operational success in the pursuit of high-quality powersports products.

Base pay range : $65,000.00 / yr - $76,000.00 / yr.

Program structure and placement

  • Program Length : 3 years
  • Rotation Length : 1 year (3X)
  • Placement Locations could include Medina, MN; Monticello, MN; Roseau, MN; Wyoming, MN; Plymouth, MN; Huntsville, AL; Spirit Lake, IA; Osceola, WI; Battle Ground, WA; Fernley, NV; Wilmington, OH; Vermillion, SD

    Upon completion of the program, you will transition into a full-time operations-related position within the business, contingent on business needs and demonstrated skills and experience.

    Polaris offers relocation assistance via a mobility vendor for eligible employees. Benefits include a lump sum, self-haul moving package, lease cancellation / duplicate housing reimbursement, and a relocation counselor to assist with short-term housing. Daily commuting transportation is the responsibility of the employee.

    Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, with graduation date between August 2025 and May 2026
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Commitment to 40 hours per week starting on one of the following dates : January 12, 2026 or June 15, 2026
  • U.S. person and not requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Willingness to travel and relocate between sites for rotations and beyond
  • Reliable transportation for daily commuting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Active leadership experience in student organizations or work, with a desire to grow leadership skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; self-motivation and leadership
  • Strong interest in long-term career development
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Previous internship / co-op experience
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or supply chain software
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) or programming languages (Python, SQL)
  • Understanding of manufacturing automation, IoT, or smart factory technologies
  • Experience in cross-functional or cross-cultural teams
  • Study abroad or international internship experience
  • Change management or project leadership experience
  • Coursework in business strategy, finance, or operations research
  • Participation in case competitions or entrepreneurial ventures

    Starting pay range reflects Minnesota and Washington locations; individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. It is not common to start at the top of the range.

    Selection process and onboarding

  • Applications are open August–November. Shortlisted candidates are typically contacted for an initial phone screen by the end of November
  • Selected candidates are invited to a virtual panel interview with HR and functional leaders
  • Successful candidates may receive an offer and work with the Polaris Early Talent Team to determine start date (January or June) and complete a Brand Slide to align rotations with strengths and business needs
  • Placements are finalized in late October for January starts and mid-April for June starts each year
