Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Manager to oversee the quality control processes for DOD construction projects in WA. The QC Manager will be representing the GC and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations, implementing quality management systems, and leading a team to achieve project objectives. The first assigned project has a project duration of 4 years. Must have prior experience with NAVFAC projects $30M-100M for serious consideration. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including reports, records, and compliance certifications.
  • Train and mentor team members and other staff on quality control practices and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality management in construction.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant federal construction experience (3+ years of QC management)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Active CQM cert
  • Well-versed in 3 phases of quality control and EM 385-1-1 safety protocols.
  • Proven experience as a QC Manager on multiple DOD projects exceeding $30M
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior experience with duct banks and / or substations is a PLUS.
