Nurse Practitioner

Red Cedar Solutions is looking to fill a nurse practitioner position on a contract at Fort Belvoir.  Some responsibilities include :

• Supporting the Agency's Command Surgeon by providing occupational health and wellness services at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Medical Readiness Clinic, within their licensed scope of practice
• Assist the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to ensure personnel potentially exposed to radiological materials are monitored appropriately through medical surveillance in accordance with the requirements of the radiation safety program requirements.
• Evaluate and diagnose work-related injuries and illnesses. This includes conducting physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and ordering tests, develop and implement treatment plans for work-related conditions
• Perform Pre-Deployment Medical Evaluations, Perform Pre-Placement Physical Exam Reviews, perform Post Deployment Screenings, initially clear use of respiratory protection devises and sign off on provided Employee Respiratory Clearance Cards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for employees
• Determine employees' fitness for duty and establish safe work limitations or restrictions to promote healing and prevent further injury
• Offer preventative health services
• Administer health education promotions during health fairs and health and wellness briefings and classes

Requirements

Candidates must have a nursing degree from an accredited education program and must maintain a valid license. Must also be able to pass a security clearance, background check, and drug screening for employment.
