EXECUTIVE CHEF

? $115–130K base + potential performance bonus
A well-established, French-influenced modern restaurant in the West Village is seeking a hands-on, driven Executive Chef to lead its culinary program and team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a respected, quality-driven operation with supportive ownership and a strong existing team.
We are looking for a chef who combines culinary excellence with operational discipline — someone who leads from the front, values consistency, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
This is a highly hands-on leadership position overseeing all BOH operations and working closely with ownership on menu direction and standards.
Lead daily BOH operations with a strong presence on the line
Oversee scheduling, ordering, inventory, and food cost controls
Manage labor and P&L performance
Ensure consistency and quality across all services
Train, mentor, and develop the culinary team
Collaborate with ownership on menu development (final approvals required)
Maintain top standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Two sous chefs currently in place
Opportunity to bring in a trusted Jr. Sous or Sous Chef
Strong, stable BOH and FOH teams
Collaborative and supportive ownership
Strong background in French or French-influenced cuisine
Classical training preferred
Deep respect for seasonal and local ingredients
Proven leadership in quality-driven kitchens
Experience running breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
Hotel restaurant experience is a plus (not required)
Highly organized and systems-oriented
Calm, professional, and team-focused leader
Spanish language skills are a very strong plus
Base Salary: $115–130K
