Job Summary and Qualifications

The Paramedic ED assists with emergency department patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician, performing emergency care procedures, monitoring vitals, and administering medications and treatments within their scope of practice. Key duties include patient transfers, documenting care, communicating with the healthcare team, and providing comfort and safety for patients in a fast-paced environment.

Required qualifications

Associate degreepreferred

CurrentParamedic license in the State of Florida

Graduate from an accredited school for paramedics

Certifications such as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),with completion within 60 days of hire

Ability to perform invasive procedures under pressure and lift and transport patients

Strong communicationand interpersonal skills

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children's Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
