Overview
We are seeking an experienced Applications Owner - Financial Systems to serve as the technical owner for our financial technology platforms. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and enhancement of technology platforms supporting our financial functions, working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, coordinate implementation efforts, and ensure systems operate efficiently to meet business objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Serve as the primary technical owner for financial applications, ensuring systems are properly maintained, enhanced, and aligned with business requirements.
- Coordinate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Provide application support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for financial technology platforms.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and project managers to implement system enhancements and resolve technical issues.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships for financial applications, including regular communications, issue resolution, and enhancement requests.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration settings, business processes, and technical procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and integration between financial systems and other enterprise applications.
- Support testing of new features and system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide regular reporting on system performance, issues, and enhancement progress to stakeholders.
The ideal background for this role
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in application management or engineering roles with a minimum of 5 years in lead / manager level positions.Knowledge of fund administration processes, particularly within private equity environments.Experience with credit products and systems is highly desirable.Experience working with financial services applications and understanding their technical requirements.Familiarity with system integration techniques and data management principles.Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Experience in coordinating development efforts and managing application enhancement projects.Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.Self-motivated, proactive, with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Experience in financial services, particularly in fund administration, is essential.Salary
The salary range for this position is $155,000 - $185,000 per year, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The actual offer within this range will depend on the candidate's experience level.
Work Arrangement
All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of four days in the New York office and one day remote per week.
