Job Summary :

The Data Governance SME role is responsible for implementing metadata management lineage tracking and data stewardship processes to support a centralized governance model. This involves deploying and configuring data governance tools defining taxonomies and developing access control procedures.

Location : Houston Texas United States

Responsibilities :

• Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview.
• Define taxonomy business glossary and metadata classification.
• Enable automated lineage capture from ADF / Fabric pipelines.
• Develop access-control matrices and stewardship procedures.
• Deliver a Data Governance Playbook for IT teams.

Required Skills & Certifications :

6 years in data governance or data management.

Strong understanding of data quality and cataloging frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK).

Knowledge of compliance and metadata automation.

Preferred Skills & Certifications :

Experience with Microsoft Purview or Collibra.
