Hospitality Confidential is pleased to present an exciting new District Manager role to oversee multiple locations in Southern California! Our client is a popular eatery known for its vibrant, community-focused atmosphere and a menu that emphasizes authentic, regional flavors! The District Manager will report to the COO and provide direct leadership to the restaurant General Managers in their region while embracing the company mission, vision, and core values.

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND OVERSIGHT :

  • Success is measured by overall the performance of defined departmental KPIs.
  • Hospitality : Ensure high level of operational excellence and guest experience. Lead
  • team to develop impactful relationships within the community they serve.
  • Revenue and Budgets : Drive top line sales with guiding managers through controlling costs and implementing tactics to balance a healthy business.
  • Talent : Develop the next generation of leadership while providing ongoing coaching and timely feedback to uphold standards. Identify team members with high potential and collaborate with leadership to set goals and pathways for growth.
  • Compliance : Ensures adherence to procedures, HR compliance, scheduling, food sanitation and food safety.
  • The DM is responsible to oversee the assigned restaurants day-to-day operations, including succession planning and ensuring all team members are receiving support.
  • The expectation of the DM is to maintain a presence at each restaurant, and to be a resource for managers and all team members.
  • The DM will create nurturing restaurant environments where innovative ideas flourish.
  • The DM will lead and develop store level managers to ensure they meet their goals in many areas including, but not limited to :
  • Develop a top talent team to meet the needs and demands of the department.
  • Secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently by developing a budget for the department and action plan for execution.
  • Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the organization’s performance.
  • Success is measured by overall the performance of defined departmental KPIs.
  • Serve as an ambassador, both internally and externally in the community. Follow all company standards, sanitation guidelines, policies or procedures to ensure that you are providing guests the highest quality, delivering caring hospitality, and that you are embodying the company’s mission and core values. Take pride in your work each day to make things a little better than they were yesterday.

  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • 3-5 years of commensurate experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-unit, limited service, growing restaurant concept.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills required; must be strategic, self-motivated, agile and resilient in a fast paced business environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem solving and leadership skills
  • Kind, personable, servant nature, and enthusiastic.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Availability to work a minimum of five days per week. Extended hours and / or a sixth day may occasionally be required. Weekends, day shifts and evening shifts may be required.
  • Must maintain regular, predictable attendance, which includes attendance at all scheduled shifts, training and meetings.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (6 or more hours per shift, excluding break times).
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds (examples include beverage cambros, ice buckets, tray of food & drinks, and taking out the trash).Ability to frequently bend and reach overhead (examples include stocking to-go supplies and dusting retail shelves).
  • Ability to recognize, perceive, communicate and / or comprehend directions and spatial cues as expected in a restaurant (examples include “behind” and “corner”
  • Must possess dexterity to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects (examples include mopping, scooping ice, using a stapler or squeeze bottle.
  • Ability to regularly move around the restaurant from guests areas to kitchen areas.
  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions (such as in the patio dining areas).

  • $100K - $120K base salary + 20% bonus (of base salary) paid out monthly
