Cashier Position
The cashier position involves processing gaming funds and performing various cashier functions. This role is essential for safeguarding the Casino's monetary assets and ensuring compliance with the Casino's policies, procedures, gaming regulations, and Minimum Internal Control Standards. The cashier provides customer service and responds to guest inquiries, cashes checks, exchanges currency, and makes change. They also handle debit and cash advance transactions, redeem slot tickets and gaming chips for cash, and assist with Sportsbook and Keno tickets. The cashier documents guest transactions, prepares exchanges, sells items, builds and reconciles outlet banks, and processes frontline cashier chip exchanges. They also replenish kiosk cassettes, Table Games chips, and perform data entry and cashier records documentation. The role requires knowledge of cage operations, gaming regulations, cash handling processes, cashier records, and customer service standards. Skills include performing cashier functions, providing customer service, processing large sums of money, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of cash handling and customer service experience, a high security gaming license, and must be at least 21 years of age. The work environment includes frequent exposure to tobacco smoke, noise, and handling money, with physical requirements such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Equipment utilized includes personal computers, office equipment, coin and currency counting equipment, scanners, shredders, and motorized carts.
