Dev Ops SRE

Chicago – Onsite

About The Role :

As our DevOps Engineer, you'll help build tools and automation to streamline delivery, boost efficiency, and enhance system monitoring. You'll collaborate with developers and support teams to ensure a high-performing, secure, and always-available platform. Full-time role, based in our Chicago office, reporting to the Head of DevOps.

What You'll Do :

  • Support clients throughout projects and resolve platform help desk tickets
  • Deploy and maintain platform monitoring and automation scripts
  • Manage Linux servers, SSH tunneling, DNS, and network troubleshooting
  • Write Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to build and scale environments
  • Collaborate with Dev and Support teams on monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing
  • Run and maintain dev, staging, sandbox, and production environments
  • Architect, build, and deploy secure infrastructure with Docker and Kubernetes

What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years in DevOps / SRE, with 3–5 years hands-on technical work
  • Experience designing real-time, high-availability, large-scale databases
  • Skilled in building automation, CI / CD pipelines, and managing infrastructure
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Golang, or JavaScript)
  • Strong scripting ability (Bash, PowerShell) and system monitoring (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with strong time management
  • Microservices development, reporting, and server management experience
  • Security-focused mindset ensuring performance and resilience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional attitude, and initiative
  • Onsite presence at our Chicago corporate office
