We're looking for a Water Resources Project Engineer to join a growing municipal engineering team in Nashville. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects while developing your career in municipal engineering.
What you'll do :
- Lead design, development, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, and stormwater systems
- Prepare and review engineering designs, construction documents, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct field assessments, site inspections, and evaluations of existing infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns, fostering professional growth
- Support project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with clients, municipalities, sub-consultants, and contractors
- Assist with business development, proposals, and client presentations
Who we're looking for :
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering5+ years of municipal engineering experience in water resourcesEIT certification required; TN PE preferredExperience with roadway geometric design, water main, sanitary sewer, and drainage designSkilled in AutoCAD / Civil 3D and familiar with utility coordinationStrong organizational, communication, and client relationship skillsWhy this role?
