Job Overview :

Venture Dynamics is seeking skilled Shipfitters to support ongoing ship repair and modernization projects in Mobile, Alabama . Candidates must have solid shipyard experience and be capable of performing all phases of steel fitting, layout, and fabrication aboard vessels and in shop environments.

Primary Duties :

Lay out and fit steel plates, foundations, bulkheads, frames, and decks using blueprints, drawings, and templates.

Cut, grind, and prep materials using torches, grinders, and saws .

Align, tack, and weld structural components following NAVSEA and ABS standards .

Fit and install foundations, penetrations, and other structural supports throughout the vessel.

Work efficiently in tight, confined, or elevated areas aboard ships, dry docks, and shop spaces.

Ensure all work meets shipyard safety, quality, and production standards .

Requirements :

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Shipfitter in the ship repair or new construction industry .

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols accurately.

Must be a U.S. Citizen .

Must successfully pass a written test and a tack test prior to employment.

Ability to safely operate burning and grinding equipment and perform precision layout work.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

Must adhere to all PPE and shipyard safety regulations .
