Marine Technology Guest Instructor at Lincoln AcademyPosition Overview : This role is a guest instructor to assist a Lincoln Academy teacher on a single trimester Marine Technology class. The instructor will have access to the ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) introductory Marine Technology curriculum. The instructor will work with less than 20 high school students for an average of 175 minutes a Team Key Responsibilities : ABYC standards-based marine systems curriculum including electrical mechanical and safety componentsConduct hands-on laboratory exercises and demonstrationsAssess student skills through practical evaluations and other shop equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocolsDocument student progress and maintain course recordsGuest Instructor Required Qualifications : Marine industry experience or other small engine experienceBackground check clearanceObtain DOE CHRC authorizationGuest Instructor Preferred Qualifications : Experience with ABYC Yamaha or other training materialsPrevious teaching or training experienceFamiliarity with high school learning environmentsSchedule : Average 175 minutes weekly instructional time (flexible in person responsibilities)Flexible preparation time in collaboration with teaching team(9 : 30am to 10 : 50am 3 times a week or 2 times a week rotates weekly)December 1 2025 - March 12 2026Salary : $3000-$4000 depending on experienceLincoln Academy is an equal opportunity employer.
