Instructor - AAS Nursing Program

PURPOSE :

This Full-time Non-Tenure track position is available in the AAS Program. Primary expectations include :

a) Teaching undergraduate courses in the School of Nursing and

b) Lincoln University faculty are expected to also advise and mentor students and serve on departmental  and institutional committees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Teaching / Scholarly / Service Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to :
• Ability to plan and prepare course content and curriculum, utilizing assessment and effective methodologies of instruction for the enhancement of learning.
• Demonstrate procedures in nursing skills laboratory, supervise student demonstrations and evaluate student performances.
• Collaborate with other faculty members with development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum .
• Provide appropriate classroom instruction for students enrolled in assigned nursing course.
• Provide college and clinical laboratory experience for assigned students.
• Maintain formative evaluations for and provide appropriate feedback to assigned students.
• Complete summative evaluations for assigned students.
• Provide academic advisement for assigned nursing majors.
• Commitment to the philosophy and outcomes of the School of Nursing.
• Collaborate in the collection of data and the completion of reports.
• Collaborate with other nursing faculty in scheduling classes, selecting textbooks, etc.
• Works in the classroom / laboratory.
