Call Response Time : Within 30 minutes (expected)
Callback Rate : Included in hourly rate

Admissions : Managed by attending surgeon; assist with perioperative care

Phone Consults : As required during call coverage
Case Mix : Cardiothoracic surgery vein harvesting and 1st assist cases

Vein harvesting preferred
Postoperative management and inpatient rounding
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses : Active Nevada State License (required)
Board : Board status not required
Experience : Minimum 2 years in cardiothoracic surgery
Vaccinations : Flu and COVID vaccinations required (or exemption)
Other Qualifications : Proficient in 1st assist and vein harvesting preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as first assist during cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Provide inpatient coverage rounding and postoperative management
Participate in night and weekend call rotation
Collaborate with CVT surgeon and surgical team to optimize patient care
Document all clinical activity within Epic EMR
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and credentialing standards
Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care across coverage blocks
