Under the direction of the Internal Audit Sr Director of Technology and Analytics, the Senior IT Audit Manager is responsible for managing and leading transformational advanced technology programs that focus on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and other emerging technologies. This role involves developing and executing audit strategies that align with Cencora's objectives in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. The role requires strong analytical skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential, as the position involves exposure with senior leadership. The Senior IT Audit Manager will lead a team and a transformational program aimed at enhancing audit coverage and driving innovation in risk management and compliance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

Leadership and Program Management :

Leads transformational initiatives to enhance IT audit capabilities with a focus on cybersecurity and AI risk management.

Performs advanced review of work products and deliverables for submission to Senior Director, Chief Audit Executive (CAE) and Executive Management.

Manages complex engagements across all phases : planning, execution, and reporting.

Develops and implements innovative audit methodologies and tools to address emerging risks related to AI and cyber threats.

Oversees a team responsible for high-quality audit deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. From sourcing innovative ideas and demonstrating value through proof of concepts, which can be operationalized by compliance teams.

Coaches, mentors, and develops team members with advanced technical skills in Cyber and data science to excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Risk Assessment and Strategy :

Conducts risk based assessments based on data, identifying key areas of concern in IT operations, cybersecurity, AI governance, and related fields.

Evaluates risks associated with critical IT processes and emerging technologies.

Builds and maintains effective relationships with senior management, business units, outside vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk coverage while developing a trusted adviser relationship

Audit Execution and Reporting :

Leads the team in monitoring and tracking remediation plans, ensuring timely and effective implementation.

Conducts open and close audit conferences with senior management.

Ensures audit documentation and reports are developed with high quality and delivered timely.

Innovation and Emerging Technology Oversight :

Stays informed on the latest trends in cybersecurity, AI governance, and emerging technologies and applies best practices to benefit the organization where relevant.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address risks associated with AI, cloud services, third-party hosted services, and other advanced technologies.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement :

Builds relationships across the organization to promote awareness of Technology and Cyber risks and drive compliance improvements.

Participates in company-wide initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the audit team. Provide thought leadership for risk to the cyber and data science community.

Expected Travel :

Up to 20% travel may be required to Cencora locations or external sites.

Experience & Educational Requirements :

Requires broad training in fields such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or other IT-related vocations.

Completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree is required

Advanced certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIPP, PMP, CFE, or MBA highly desirable.

Normally requires a minimum of ten (10) years of directly related IT audit experience, including cybersecurity and AI risk management

5+ years of proven people management experience.

Experience leading transformational initiatives is strongly preferred

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements :

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage transformational programs.

Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex data and draw actionable conclusions.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Expertise in relevant IT fields, including cybersecurity, AI risk governance, cloud services, project management, IT operations, and ERP systems.

Knowledge of audit best practices and ability to implement processes that meet industry standards.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment.

High energy level and commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
