Job descriptionNotify supervisor in all emergency situations. Maintain a highly visible presence observing and reporting all unusual activity. Investigate questionable acts or behavior Insure only authorized employees, shipyard vendors or other appropriately identified persons are permitted shipboard Respond to reports of injured personnel and notify supervisor / appropriate personnel if additional assistance is necessary. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. No criminal record, able to satisfactorily complete background check. Have a valid driver's license with their own transportation. Able to follow Company policies and procedures. Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports. Able to complete paperwork documenting meter readings and security observations, activities and actions completed. Minimum Schooling : Graduate from high school. Minimum Security Experience : 2 Years Must be able to climb up and down the shipboard vertical ladders. Maybe required to get underway to support mission operations. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to pass a USCG-Physical Exam

Role and Responsibilities :
Part- Time Sound and Security personnel (unarmed) in support of the Self Defense Test Ship
(SDTS) located at Port Hueneme, CA . Must be adaptable, flexible, willing and able to work and be dependable.
Multiple shifts available (M-F or Weekends and Holidays)
Position Duties :
- Perform shipboard internal / perimeter foot patrol rounds taking hourly equipment meter readings.
- Perform shipboard security patrol to detect or prevent individuals from committing acts, which are injurious to others or to
property.

PAY DETAILS : The hourly pay rate is $20.32 per hour.
In Ventura County, the Health & Welfare (H&W) amount for Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determinations is $5.36 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, or $214.40 per week, or $929.07 per month
In addition to Health and Welfare you receive a Paid Time Off Payout and Holiday Payout based on the number of hours worked.
