Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center is an award-winning addiction treatment center on the Westside of Chicago offering same-day, walk-in, free, behavioral, outpatient recovery services. Additionally, we offer early intervention, medical care, housing and employment support as well as street outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing compassionate counseling to individuals dealing with substance use challenges.
- Diagnostic Criteria: Possess a thorough understanding of co-occurring disorders and the ability to make the distinction of primary mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Compliance: Maintain clinical documentation standards in accordance with Illinois Administrative Code Title 77, Part 2060.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular chart audits and performance evaluations to ensure departmental KPIs and clinical outcomes are met.
- Group Facilitation: Experience in facilitating didactic and psycho-educational groups as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned relative to role and scope of work.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or an applicable field of study from a college or university program accredited by the U.S. Department of Education; OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in combination with a valid CADC.
- Licensure (Preferred): Provisional license (LPC/LSW) or CADC.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment.
- Clinical Expertise: Understanding of the ASAM 4th Edition criteria and understanding of the DSM 5-TR as it relates to substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Competencies: (Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Experience)
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- The ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools; Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to maintain and accurately document occurrences.
- Adhere to deadlines and prioritize assigned work, projects.
- Understand the Social Determinants of Health as framework relative to client population needs.
- Awareness and utilization of Motivational Interviewing.
- Understand and practice a client centered approach.
- Understand and practice cultural awareness and humility.
