We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and familiarity with managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Accounting Close: Prepare journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, fixed assets, prepaids, and lease accounting (ASC 842). Analyze results and prepare general ledger reconciliation schedules.

Chargeback Operations: Monitor daily chargeback operations, including investigating deductions related but not limited to shortages, damages, non-compliance, etc. While leveraging extensive problem-solving and analytical thinking to meet department goals and deadlines. Ensure appropriate credits are issued, and chargeback deductions are reconciled so that contractual obligations are met.

Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and tax regulations.

Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

Participate in financial audits. Complete requested materials and assist in preparing assigned schedules and gathering requested support for the audits.

Perform data entry and general administrative tasks in support of the accounting team.

Qualifications:

This position requires a proactive, problem-solving individual who can manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial processes.

Proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation highly preferred.

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry.

Deductions and recoupment with big box retailers highly desirable.

$60,000 - $80,000 a year

Please note that this role requires to be onsite four days a week.
