Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NBRC
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License

    • Skills & Responsibilities

  • Perform Respiratory Assessments – Conduct patient evaluations including arterial blood gases (ABGs), EKGs, and ventilator assessments to monitor respiratory status.
  • Manage Respiratory Equipment – Operate and troubleshoot ventilators (PB980, PB840, Avea, Servo, ENVE), BiPAP (V60), CPAP (Resmed), and high-flow oxygen devices (Vapotherm).
  • Provide Respiratory Therapy – Deliver effective respiratory treatments and therapies to adult patients in ICU, post-ICU, medical, surgical, OB, and emergency settings.
  • Assist with Intubations – Support physicians and advanced providers during intubation procedures and airway management.
  • Patient Care & Education – Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and device usage, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Documentation – Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and clinical data in the EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols – Follow infection control, safety guidelines, and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Respond to Emergencies – Quickly assess and intervene in respiratory emergencies as part of the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team – Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain Certification & Licensure – Keep active ACLS, BLS, CRT, and RRT certifications and comply with continuing education requirements.
