The Loan Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of retail loan documentation. This role involves reviewing title work, tracking and resolving loan exceptions, and maintaining secure and organized file storage. The specialist supports pre-closing and post-closing processes, and assists lenders in meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and monitor the storage, organization, sequencing, and overall activity of retail loan file documentation to ensure security and accuracy.
- Oversee file quality control process, including daily loan file reviews, exception tracking, and escalation of red flags or suspicious activity to the QC manager.
- Stay informed on real estate lending regulations and procedural updates.
- Prepare all real estate loan documentation, and support both pre- and post-closing activities, including title review, closing coordination, and lien perfection.
- Administer check-in and check-out processes for loan files.
- Provide copies of loan documents upon request
- Update loan files by adding or removing information as needed.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of the loan file storage area.
- Assist in collecting financial and related information on borrowers and associated parties.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures; recommend updates as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to department leadership and serve as backup for departmental administrative functions, including meeting participation and data reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Required
High school diploma or GEDDegree in relevant field or experience in consumer lending or equivalentPreferred
Title & UCC perfecting is preferredReal estate or TRID experience is a plusKey Competencies & Skills :
