Facility : Banner Churchill Community Hospital

Shift : Days, 5 : 45 AM - 6 : 15 PM (36 hours schedule, 24 hours guaranteed)

Start Date : ASAP

Assignment Length : 13.0 weeks (until 19 / 01 / 2026)

Certification and License Requirements :

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification is required
  • State Licensure in Nevada is mandatory

    • What you bring :

  • Current and valid RRT credential with the ability to obtain Nevada licensure
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
  • Proficiency with ventilator management, arterial blood gases, and various pulmonary procedures
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to float to different units based on experience and departmental needs
  • Ability to adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and timely documentation

    • Preferred Education & Experience :

  • Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy, Allied Health, or a related field
  • Previous experience in critical care, emergency departments, or similar high-acuity settings
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment and therapies

    • Job Description :

    This opportunity is available immediately at Banner Churchill Community Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver patient care by assessing respiratory needs, administering treatments, and assisting physicians with pulmonary procedures. You will be responsible for managing ventilators, blood gas analysis, and emergency respiratory interventions in a busy hospital environment. Flexibility to float between units and a commitment to high-quality patient care are essential. The assignment offers a competitive weekly stipend and taxed pay with consistent hours over the duration of the contract.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various hospital departments
  • Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
  • Conduct and interpret arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective patient care
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the EMR system
  • Float to different units as needed, based on experience and department requirements
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols

    • Additional Information :

  • Guaranteed hours : 36 hours per week, with 24 hours guaranteed
  • Banner is permitted to cancel one shift per week
  • Must be willing to work in multiple departments and units
  • Start date should be as close to the listed start date as possible
  • RTO (Request Time Off) must be listed on the cover page, approved with less than 7 days' notice, and will not be approved during the first week or holidays
  • All candidates should be prequalified and able to accept shifts immediately

    • Pay & Compensation :

  • Weekly taxable pay : $582.65
  • Weekly stipend : $369.54
