Position Summary
Vacation Rentals at Sand Hollow Resort is seeking an accomplished hospitality executive to lead our growing Vacation Rentals business, which manages a diverse portfolio of over 160 homes, condos, and resort suites . As the General Manager of Vacation Rental Operations , you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, owner relations, revenue management, and marketing.
This high-impact role will drive customer growth, operational excellence, owner satisfaction, and financial success , positioning Sand Hollow Resort as the premier vacation rental destination in Southern Utah.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for vacation rentals , aligning with the resort’s overall vision.
- Collaborate with other resort managers and property owners on capital improvement planning, guest experience innovation, and brand positioning.
- Identify new revenue streams and business opportunities to expand the division’s market share.
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily operations for 160+ rental properties, ensuring best-in-class guest experiences.Implement and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve consistency, quality, and efficiency across all teams.Monitor performance metrics (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, guest reviews) and lead data-driven decision-making to maximize profitability.Team & Culture Leadership
Lead and mentor department heads in guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and revenue management.Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.Ensure effective staffing strategies during peak and off-peak seasons and invest in ongoing talent development.Owner Relations
Oversee the primary liaison with property owners, delivering transparency, regular performance reporting, and trusted advisory guidance.Collaborate with unit owners on property enhancements and rental-readiness standards that increase ROI.Financial & Revenue Management
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost discipline while driving revenue growth.Lead pricing strategy, channel distribution, and booking optimization across direct, OTA, and group platforms.Analyze financial performance, report on KPIs, and adjust strategy proactively to meet or exceed targets.Compliance & Maintenance
Ensure compliance with all state and local regulatory, HOA, and resort standards.Oversee preventative maintenance programs and coordinate timely repairs through in-house teams and vendor partners.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred).5+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, vacation rentals, or resort operationsProven success in driving revenue growth, portfolio expansion, and guest satisfaction at scale.Expertise in property management systems (PMS), booking platforms, and revenue optimization tools.Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets.Exceptional leadership, communication, and management skills.Knowledge of the Southern Utah vacation rental and tourism market strongly preferred.Compensation & Benefits
