Logistics Generalist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Generalist to support daily operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating logistics activities, ensuring timely material flow, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, documentation, and tracking. Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials. Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions. Support logistics planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate with carriers and vendors to resolve delivery issues and optimize transportation. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Essential Skills
Experience in supply chain, logistics, and inventory management. Proficiency in customer service, data entry, and shipping and receiving processes. Knowledge of warehouse management, freight, and inventory control. Experience with dispatch operations. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. 13 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings. Multiple shifts are available : 1st shift (7 AM to 4 PM), 2nd shift (12 PM to 8 PM, 2 PM to 10 PM, or 4 PM to 12 AM). This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, KY. The pay range for this position is $23.48 - $23.48 / hr.
