Industrial Electrician Apprentices And Electrician Helpers

Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire experienced Industrial Electrician Apprentices and Electrician Helpers for the Pascagoula, Mississippi area. The Apprentices and Helpers do not require a TWIC initially, but will need one eventually once they start working. This is for a 4-year project : a demo work phase, followed by the new construction of a facility. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, working day shifts. Will need to pass a pre-employment drug screen before being hired. Weekly pay by direct deposit. No per diem is offered. Apprentices and Helpers' starting pay rate is $17 / hr. Need to have some experience bending conduit (EMT & rigid).

Job Responsibilities :

• Help install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
• Assist with reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Help install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Assist with the installation and testing of switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Help maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Bend and install conduit.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
