Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ARRT (R) certification and at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week contract assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a radiology and cardiology X-ray department
  • Adult patient population
  • Day shift schedule : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM, subject to change as per manager needs
  • 4x10 hour shifts per week
  • Weekend coverage required as needed
  • Potential floating to like units and nearby campuses within 20 miles, though rare
  • Cerner EMR is used, and experience with Cerner is preferred
  • Duties include performing diagnostic X-ray procedures and assisting with cardiology-related imaging as needed
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of application; time off requests will not be accepted after placement
  • Travelers must be available to work at least two of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) if the contract covers those dates
  • Returning employees must have a one-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Scrub or dress code requirements follow facility policy
  • Cerner EMR system is used in the department

    • Requirements

  • Current ARRT (R) certification is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of X-ray technologist experience is required
  • At least one completed travel assignment required; no first-time travelers unless possessing 3+ years of experience
  • Associate’s degree in radiologic technology required
  • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
  • License required if applicable
