Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time DHH Consultation Specialist position is available for the school year, located onsite in Joliet, IL. This role focuses on providing consultation services for one female student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
In this important role, you will conduct initial and re-evaluation assessments to understand the students unique educational needs. Using a variety of tools and technology, you will enhance learning experiences and collaborate closely with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective, individualized educational strategies. Accurate documentation of assessments and student progress is a key responsibility.
