Travel RN Job Details Job Title : Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Assignment Location : Christiansburg, Virginia 24073 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2020 - $2070 Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 (13-week contract; up to 26 weeks available) Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Orientation : 36 hours Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state At least 2 years of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or medical-surgical nursing Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Proficient in Epic electronic charting system (RN experience required) Comfortable with patient ratios of 1 : 5 COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to float to various hospital units as needed Willing to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter contracts) Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Med / Surg units Monitor, assess, and manage cardiac patients; administer medications and deliver post-operative cardiac care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic medical records Adapt to changing unit assignments and patient needs in a fast-paced hospital setting Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations Participate in orientation and complete all required training modules Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
