Job description

Building Attendant

The Building Attendant is a hospitality position responsible for maintaining a safe and clean recreational for residents and / or other amenity or common areas under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager or General Manager.

Duties and Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Welcome and greet residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a helpful and customer-focused presence in all amenity areas.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all amenity areas including the spa, pool deck, gym, auditorium and resident lounge.
  • Assist with setup and organization of pool furniture, gym equipment, and common areas as needed.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and security checks of residential hallways, amenity spaces, and designated checkpoints.
  • Observe and report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or rule violations to management promptly.
  • Ensure residents and guests comply with Association Rules and Regulations.
  • Report and document any malfunctions, damages, or incidents according to established procedures.
  • Assist with enforcing access control and maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Complete daily inspection checklists for amenity spaces, including the pool deck, spa, gym, and common areas.
  • Support other departments as needed with projects, events, and community initiatives.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to management for improvements to resident experiences and amenity operations.

Work Environment The position will be indoors and outdoors. Moderate noise level.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. This position will require long periods of standing and walking, as well as working outdoors. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work 1 full time position. This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Schedule Wednesday-Sunday 11AM-7 : 30PM. The schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the property.

English speaking required.

Required Education and Experience Prior experience in a related position. Experience at a luxury property, club or hotel is strongly preferred; The ability to work in a busy, luxury, and fast-paced environment; The ability to convey a positive and "can-do" attitude at all times, including during high-stressful situations; Ability to communicate effectively with other staff; Must be able to work well with others as the role will require cooperation from other team members; High School Diploma or Equivalent; Ability to organize and prioritize.
