The Chargeback and Fraud Lead within Fleet and Treasury supports a team tasked with executing critical capital, financing, and strategic decisions to support the growth of Breeze Airways. The incumbent will be involved in customer payments processing, fraud detection and reconciliation, and special projects as required by the team. As part of the Fleet and Treasury team, they will get a view into how the growing balance sheet of a start-up airline is managed efficiently and effectively.

Here's what you'll do

  • Investigate chargeback claims by researching transactions and creating documentation to dispute such claims when necessary
  • Review and investigate potentially fraudulent transactions; identify patterns and implement fraud detection strategies
  • Act as point of contact to escalate problems as needed with third party fraud vendors
  • Be a subject matter expert on third-party fraud system best practices and procedures, mentoring and training other team members as needed
  • Establish standard operating procedures and policies to mitigate fraud, taking into account new commercial initiatives within the company as they arise
  • Identify existing fraud risks within the company and lead efforts internally to improve and establish best practices across the organization
  • Assist with customer payment processing reconciliations and dispute resolution
  • Develop a standard monthly reporting system and track team KPIs
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the senior executive team
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence

Here's what you'll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years working experience in Fraud, Loyalty, FP&A, Accounting, or Finance
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field from an accredited university or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior fraud detection or chargeback management experience
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Airline experience
  • Skills / Talents

  • Collaborates across the organization to ensure alignment of stakeholder needs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Practices extreme ownership and transparency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exemplifies Breeze's safety culture, values, and mission
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization
